If the name is familiar, OG STEVO should certainly be on your radar as one of Chicago’s artist destined to turn heads in the music game. Since taking over the Chicago airways with Don’t Scuff Em, Stevo has been on a drive to the top ever since. Most recently, he’s been with Chicago owned music label and production company No More Heroes- who is for sure guaranteed to ensure the world knows and understands the artist- OG Stevo. Stevo dropped some facts about his journey below.
I grew up listening to: Akon, 50 Cent, Boy II Men, Michael Jackson, New Edition, Bob Marley, Pac, Biggie, P Square, & Wizkid.
How Did You Get Your BUZZ?: I really got my buzz from performing at these open mics on NIU campus, which eventually led to me getting booked by the school , then all the other schools , and then the city
My style’s been compared to: I haven’t really been told that I sound like anyone else, but maybe A Boogie, Polo G, Durk, & Roddy.
I’m going to blow up because: I’m going to blow up because this is all I want in life and it’s in my destiny. I work on my craft everyday, I’m mad talented, and I’m different
What’s your most slept-on song, and why?: I feel my most slept on song is Neighborhood Hero. It has done nice numbers and been played on the airways and all, but it could’ve done way more. As a body of art, that song is unflawed
My standout records to date have been: My standout record to date would have to be between Don’t Scuff em Or Salsa
Most people don’t know: I’m full blown Nigerian
I’m going to be the next: biggest artist to come out Chicago and the biggest artist in the world. It’s gone be [people] saying they want to be the next “OG Stevo.”
