ATLANTA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL LAY COACH ARRESTED AFTER PUNCHING PLAYER IN STOMACH

On Saturday, a Mays High School football coach, who remains unidentified, appeared to scream at one of his players before hitting him during the first quarter of a game against Douglas County. The incident was broadcast from Eddie. S Henderson Stadium at Midtown High School on Peachtree TV.

A spokesperson told Atlanta News First that the person was a “lay coach,” which means they are a coach who does not teach at the school or hold a teaching certificate.
