This past weekend “Revolt World” made its imprint in the world of entertainment. An amplification of Revolt Summit and Revolt Music Conference, the 3-day inauguration of Revolt World gave us everything the latter contributed and more! From the star-studded panel discussions and interactive creative stations to live shows from the networks most popular podcasts and explosive musical performances.
The event-filled weekend catered to creatives, musical artists and entrepreneurs aspiring to take their careers to new heights – kicking the weekend off on Friday, September 22nd, with a star-studded panel featuring Trina, Tierra Whack and Symba and a listening experience for Diddy’s latest project “The Love Album”. In addition, “Drink Champs” made their live debut in an interview with hip-hop legends Manny Fresh and Juvenile. The night ended with unforgettable performances from Uncle Luke, Manny Fresh, Juvenile and headliner/birthday boy Moneybagg Yo.
Friday was just an appetizer with Saturday being the main course. Saturday’s festivities started bright and early with fireside chats on entrepreneurship featuring Josh “J1” Radford, VP of Hip Hop Programming, Sirius XM & Pandora and Robert Duhart VP & Deputy CISO of Walmart. In addition to fire side chats, panel discussions were held throughout the day where some of your favorite celebrities dropped major gems on life in the industry and how to grow in your respective fields. From Jeezy to Lauren London who spoke on finding your purpose and staying true to your authentic self, to G Herbo and Fivio Foreign who took the time to shed light on the importance of mental health. The impact of Yung Miami was felt throughout the entire weekend. From the merch tent full of “Caresha Please” merchandise to the fans who lined up for four-plus hours just to attend the “Caresha Please” live show featuring Ari. Yung Miami also had a few surprises up her sleeve pulling up to King Combs set for a surprise performance. She also made a visit to the merch tent giving a select few the chance at a photo-op.
Sunday was the Cherry on top for an amazing weekend. From the praise and worship with Pastor Mike Jr. to the fireside chats focusing on Black wealth, Black Women in tech and fashion/lifestyle with Jim Jones (just to name a few). Amongst the many different things to do, the highlight of the day was the Jason Lee Show live where he sat down with Brittany Renner.
The thing that made Revolt World so special was it’s accessibility. You could walk around a corner and run into Diddy, then turn another and 19 Keys is having an intimate conversation with someone in the middle of a pathway about inspiring the next generation. You could randomly be charging your phone (happened to me) and Yung Miami pulls up besides you to take a few pictures. Not to mention the career fair with accessibility to some of the industries top execs and the several interactive stations like the “Walmart Makers Studio” and the “Insights Lab” a space for creatives to share their life’s perspectives on camera in exchange for a mini photo shoot. There was something for everyone. Needed to get away from the big energy of the event? They even provided a wellness area where sound bath meditations were held. Gamer? no problem. There were gaming stations to get your game on. Had an idea for a dope podcast? Hit up the pitch competition to earn money towards starting your podcast.
Unlike anything I’ve ever seen, Revolt World gave inspiration, resources and a good a** time!! To stay updated on next years Revolt World log onto
