A teacher at a Christian school in Florida was arrested Tuesday after he was accused of using yearbook photos of students to create AI-generated child pornography.

Steven Houser, 67, works as a third-grade science teacher at Beacon Christian Academy in New Port Richey, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO). Houser is facing five counts of possession of child pornography, court records show.
Deputies found that Houser had AI-generated child pornography, which he admitted to creating with three student yearbook photos, according to PCSO.

After receiving a tip, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office began an investigation, which determined that Houser, a third-grade science teacher at the school, possessed two photos and three videos featuring child pornography. The child pornography did not feature any students at the school.
Houser also possessed child erotica generated by an AI computer program, and Houser admitted he used the yearbook photos of three students to generate those images.

According to Tampa Bay Times, in an interview with detectives, Houser admitted that he was curious about what his students looked like naked and admitted to generating sexually suggestive photos of children.
There are no reports of additional victims at this time.
