Over the past four months the task force has collaborated with the brilliant minds at The Mural Movement and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office to create a one of a kind outreach & prevention campaign. Much love and support to the invaluable survivor leaders who consulted on this project and Hailey Losselyong ( @hml.design ) for creating a truly stunning piece of art.
Efforts to prevent human trafficking can only be effective when we address the underlying systemic causes of vulnerability. For many survivors, human trafficking is only one aspect of their lived experience.
The ‘Do I Feel Safe’ campaign seeks to address the whole individual and start by meeting needs for emotional and physical safety. The graphic prompts folks to learn more about human trafficking and access community resources via a QR code.
Resource links are available in Spanish and English. You can catch this campaign on Chicago billboards and bus shelter ads for six weeks!
If you or somebody, you know does not feel safe and are in need of information and resources, please scan QR code or go to http://www.CookCountyTaskForce.org/resources.html
