Phase 2 was one of the major groups in Chicago that originated foot working. Starting on the low end of Chicago, they began their journey by watching videos of famous people dancing like James Brown, Jim Kelly, Fred Astaire, & Sammy Davis Jr. Along with watching movies, it gave them the creative influence to dominate the foot working era while dancing to house music. Mr. Rick one of the founding members would go to the West side of Chicago and bring back moves he learned to teach to other members of the group to be better dancers than the competition.
