CHICAGO POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT IN ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE

Chicago police release video of a man wanted in connection to an attempted Belmont Central sexual assault. On May 28 in the 2900 block of N. Mango Ave., a man picked a woman up and forced her into the gangway of a home and told her that he would kill her if she continued to yell.

According to Chicago police, the man ripped her clothing off and tried to sexually assault her. He was then captured on surveillance video jumping over a fence before running away down an alleyway. The man seen in that video left his gray shirt and black hoodie at the scene, police said. The suspect is described as between 25 and 35 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8 and weighs between 160 and 200 pounds. He has short-dark colored hair and facial hair.
