According to FOX 32 news, a person died following an accident where a semi-trailer went down an embankment on I-80 in the south suburbs on Tuesday morning, according to Illinois State police.
The incident took place in the eastbound lanes of I-80 close to Kedzie Avenue. Authorities stated that the semi-trailer veered off the road, went down an embankment, and flipped over onto Kedzie Avenue.

The driver of the semi-trailer was reported dead by the police. One lane on eastbound I-80 has been shut down, and both sides of Kedzie Avenue under I-80 are closed, according to the authorities’ statements.
The police are conducting an investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
