BIG SEAN DISCUSSES HIS NEW ALBUM DESPITE CRITICISM HE RECEIVES DURING EMOTIONAL IG LIVE

Big Sean went live on Instagram to discuss his process creating his album ‘Better Me Than You’ despite negative comments online about his artistry.

Recently, Big Sean received backlash from fans who heard his new song” Yes,” and accused him of stealing Baby Keem’s flow. Fans say Sean somewhat mimics a style similar to Keem’s delivery—possibly heard on Keem and Kendrick Lamar’s “Family Ties.”

“Your faith get tested for sure. When you make art you put your heart into this.” The Detroit rapper becomes emotional and steps away from the camera before continuing. “I try and stay focused and keeping the path focused on what I want to do no matter what people think.”

The LP, previously set to roll out on Aug. 9, will now be dropping Aug. 30.

“The album is dropping this week,” he said. “I appreciate my mom for being that guardian angel always giving me that advice. She really talked me through it for real. Like I said, I haven’t been sleeping a lot. I been giving this s–t my all. I’m burned the f–k out. I’m tired. I do do this s–t for the people that f–k with me.”
