43-yr-old Tatanisha Jackson has been identified as the mother who was shot & killed by her own teen son yesterday.
On Thursday evening, Sept. 19th, 2024, Chicago Police responded to a call from the father, Saying his 17-year-old son shot his mom on the south side of Chicago (68th & Cornell). When they arrived, they found Tatanisha in the hallway with 5 Gunshot wounds to the head. She was rushed to UofC hospital, where she was pronounced Deceased.
CPD has identified Tatanisha’s own son as the suspect, 17-yr-old Davion Pryor, who they say broke into the house and waited for her to get home. As she came into her apartment building with her husband and younger son, Davion fired several shots at her, then fled out the back door, where CPD says was still opened when they got on scene.
Davion Pryor is described as a male black, dark complexion, 5’7, 120 Ibs, and a short afro hairstyle. He was seen wearing a white T-shirt, shorts, and a bullet proof vest.
Davion suffers from mental illness and have not taken any of his meds. He is considered ARMED & DANGEROUS!!!
