CHICAGO MAN SHOT DURING ARGUMENT ON CTA RED LINE TRAIN

The CTA initially reported a disturbance at 8:46 a.m. on a northbound Red Line train between the Bryn Mawr and Thorndale stations.

According to police, a 23-year-old woman engaged in an argument with a man while on the Red Line train. The woman then reportedly spat at the 33-year-old man and discharged a firearm.Chicago police reported that the man was shot in the shoulder.

CFD Paramedics arrived at the CTA Red Line Thorndale Station to provide medical attention to the victim. She was then taken into custody, and a firearm was recovered.

The victim was transported to the hospital and was expected to recover.
