FLORIDA WOMAN WHO ZIPPED UP BOYFRIEND IN A SUITCASE FOUND GUILTY OF MURDER

In 2020, Sarah Boone admitted to authorities that she and her boyfriend were playing a game of hide-and-seek after drinking. According to CNN, she zipped up her boyfriend, Jorge Torres, in a suitcase thinking he could get himself out.

The affidavit states that Boone went to bed assuming that her boyfriend would come upstairs to join her. However, she woke up to find him not breathing inside the suitcase.

Upon trial, the video evidence proved this story to be untrue. There was proof showing Torres begging to be set free because he couldn’t breathe. Boone was heard laughing while saying, “That’s what you get…that’s what I feel like when you cheat on me.”

The defense team’s story was that Boone feared for her life as she had experienced spousal abuse during her relationship.

After Boone’s 10-day trial, she was found guilty of second-degree murder. Her sentencing will take place on December 2, 2024.
