WOMEN GETS SHOT IN THE HEAD WHILE WITNESSING FRIEND’S MURDER IN BELIZE

WHITE WOMEN PAYS FOR EX BOYFRIEND’S MURDER

Maia James, a 26-year-old mother of two, was also intended to be murdered in a horrific incident that claimed the life of her close friend, 32-year-old Roy Lee Burgess, back in April of 2024. Maia, who resides in the US, recounted her experience of that night in a personal interview with Breakbeat Media.

Burgess and James were reportedly inside a vehicle at Mile 22 on Placencia Road. As James was preparing to leave the car, a gunman identified as 31-year-old Ellis Meighan from Belize City, who was also connected to the deceased, opened fire on the two. This tragic incident resulted in Burgess’s death and injuries to James, who had a bullet lodged in her head for three hours before receiving medical attention.

Belizean officials initially suggested that jealousy motivated the fatal shooting, a notion that James supported during her interview. She mentioned that about two weeks before the incident, Burgess had ended his relationship with his partner. This older Caucasian woman from Canada had begun issuing threats against his life as a result. She survived that night. James also claims that the police aided Meighan in escaping and asserts that he is the stepson of Commissioner Williams, who has not yet responded to those accusations.
