CHICAGO POLICE CHASE THROUGH THE CITY’S SOUTH SIDE ENDS IN ARRESTS

A Chicago police chase through the city’s South Side ended with two people taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon.

According to NBC Chicago, CPD said officers responded to the Fuller Park neighborhood’s 4200-block of South Wentworth Avenue around 1:40 p.m. for a report of a person with a gun inside a Chevy Malibu.

The chase came to a stop at 67th Street and Parnell with several officers seen surrounding what appeared to be an apartment building at that location.

It appears that two suspects got out of the vehicle and ran into that building.

Officers took two people into custody and recovered a gun from the scene.

Details on why police were pursuing the vehicle remained unclear. The chase previously traveled on the Dan Ryan and Kennedy Expressways earlier this afternoon.
