Anthony Edwards is known for having pure confidence on and off the basketball court by everyone including Barack Obama.

Edwards was featured in a newly recent Netflix series about the Olympics called Court of Gold. During one of the episodes, the Team USA guard spoke to the 44th President of the United States.

The former president asked Embiid whether the 23-year-old could “hoop a little bit”, to which Edwards was quick to reply “Man, y’all better stand down. I’m the truth”. As the others let out a chuckle, the young star continued “These boys know”. Obama took up that challenge and invited LeBron James to attest to the claim.

During the exchange, Obama asked Joel Embiid what he thought about Edwards. He said, “He can hoop a little bit, huh?”

But that wasn’t enough for Edwards, who responded that Embiid and Obama better “stand down” because he was “the truth.”
