Lizzo shares that she, SZA, and another musician once had the idea to form a music group. The singer took to Twitch and detailed how one song in SZA’s catalogue is proof of the collaborative dream.

The duo, along with another unnamed musician, considered calling themselves “P*ssy Lasers” before ultimately scrapping the idea. Although the band never came to life, the sessions they spent together led to the creation of SZA’s track “F2F.”
“We just always been friends, and it’s a sacred space for me in this industry. We [had] this little period of time where we were just linking up in the studio,” Lizzo said on the stream. “One particular night, mind you, we was gonna start a rock band, called P*ssy Lasers. Oh my gosh, she not gonna get mad if I say this.”
She continued: “We were going to start a rock band called Pussy Lasers with an incredible other artist who I don’t know if she even wants to be mentioned, so I’m not going to mention her.”
Lizzo mentioned that although ‘F2F’ wasn’t necessarily going to become a ‘P*ssy Lasers’ song, they knew it would still be a banger due to its edgier, rock-influenced sound.
