North Carolina State coach Wes Moore has faced criticism for posing with a fan who was holding a sign that read “Angel Reese Stinks.”
Before the North Carolina VS Norte Dame game, Moore took a picture with an NC fan who was holding a sign that said “Angel Reese Stinks.” As the picture made its rounds on social media, fans of both Angel Reese and NC’s women’s basketball team became disappointed in what they had seen.
Fans criticized Moore for taking a picture with the fan when Angel has no connections to NC State, Notre Dame, or the ACC conference. Many also criticized the coach because the ladies WolfPack players are predominanly Black.
The Wolfpack defeated No. 1 Notre Dame, 104-95, in double overtime, marking the program’s first victory against an AP No. 1-ranked team since 1978.
