TEEN GIRL SHOT OUTSIDE OF CHARTER SCHOOL ON CHICAGO’S SOUTH SIDE

A teenage girl was shot near a school in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood on Tuesday morning. 

According to Fox News, a shooting occurred just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday outside Perspectives High School of Technology & Leadership Academy, located in the 8500 block of S. Lafayette Avenue, as reported by Chicago police.

A 15-year-old girl was walking near the school when an unknown black sedan approached. Two unknown males exited the vehicle and opened fire, Chicago police said. The suspects then got back into the car and fled the scene, heading southbound.

The girl was shot in the left thigh and was taken to an area hospital in fair condition. No other injuries were reported.
