CHICAGO POLICE IDENTIFY THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD SHOT INSIDE A HOME

The tragic loss of a 13-year-old boy, Tawon Tribble, who was shot inside a home, has deeply saddened the community. Authorities responded to a distress call at a residence on 65th Place near Normal Boulevard shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday, where they found Tawon with a gunshot wound to the chest. 

Despite being rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital, he was pronounced dead. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Investigators are currently looking into a person of interest related to Tawon’s passing, though, as of Tuesday afternoon, no charges have been filed.
