Chris Brown has reportedly been arrested in Manchester, England, in connection to an alleged violent incident that took place at a nightclub over a year ago.
According to Complex, Brown was taken into custody at the Lowry Hotel in the early hours of Thursday, May 15. A representative from the Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 36-year-old man—Brown’s age—was arrested “on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.”
The arrest stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on February 19, 2023, at a venue located in Hanover Square. The case is currently being handled by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.
In a statement obtained by Complex, police shared the following:
“A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has been taken into custody where he remains. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.”
