Another wild night in Chicago—this time on the West Side, where a man with a concealed carry license turned the tables on an alleged robber.
According to ABC7 Chicago, it all went down around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday near Artesian Avenue and Hirsch Street. A 36-year-old man was walking up to his car when he got approached by an 18-year-old armed suspect trying to rob him. But what the suspect didn’t know? The man was legally carrying—and ready.
Police say the CCL holder pulled out his own gun and shot the would-be robber multiple times. The teen was rushed to Stroger Hospital in critical condition and later died.
No one else was hurt, and cops say the shooter stayed at the scene and is cooperating with detectives. As of now, no charges have been filed.
