According to several sources, a mass shooting occurred resulting in 14 victims being injured, and 4 killed at Chicago Rapper Mello Buckzz’s anticipated album release party “HOLLYHOOD.”
Everything unfolded as guests exited The Artis Restaurant and Lounge located in River North. Some victims were brought to Northwestern Hospital, and others to hospitals in the surrounding area.
According to sources a dark-colored vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire on the crowd near the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue around 11 p.m. Thirteen of the 18 victims were women.
Police confirmed multiple people in their 20’s and 30’s were shot. In addition, several people were placed in handcuffs but were ultimately released with no charges pending. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families involved.
