NYC MOM AND SON ARRESTED WHILE TRYING TO FLEE THE U.S. AFTER STREET RACING CRASH

A mother and her son from New York were arrested as they tried to leave the country following a deadly street racing crash. The illegal race resulted in several deaths and injuries.

Authorities tracked the pair down at an airport, where they were attempting to board an international flight.

They now face charges related to the crash and attempted flight to avoid prosecution.

Limani and another driver behind the wheel of a BMW M5 were recklessly burning rubber southbound when Limani’s ride hit two other vehicles and rolled over multiple times according to the New York Post.

Albion Hysenaj, 20, also of Staten Island, died after being ejected from Limani’s vehicle. Another passenger who was ejected suffered serious injuries and was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Limani and another passenger who was not ejected from the car allegedly ran from the site of the crash.

The investigation is ongoing, and the suspects remain in custody awaiting court hearings.
