In a surprising scene this week, a sheep was found running loose through Chicago’s West Loop, dodging traffic and raising eyebrows during rush hour. Thankfully, the animal was safely caught and is now in the care of a local animal rescue.
Where the sheep came from is still unknown, but rescue workers believe it may be linked to illegal animal keeping or slaughter practices—something they say happens more often than people realize in the city.
Now safe and receiving care, the sheep is looking for a forever home. The rescue is searching for someone with proper space and experience to care for a farm animal long-term.
