A Chicago security guard says he and his team never saw a dime after protecting YouTube star IShowSpeed during his recent visit to the city.
Sam, the CEO of Blaklite Entertainment, posted on social media that Speed’s camp allegedly paid $500,000 to another security company that subcontracted his services. According to Sam, he and his crew worked a grueling 16-hour shift on Monday, September 8, ensuring Speed’s safety while he was moving through Chicago.
But after the event, Sam says the company owner went ghost—blocking his calls and failing to send payment. Frustrated, the guard turned to Instagram to share screenshots and posts about the alleged shady business practices.

The claims have quickly picked up traction online, with fans and locals weighing in on how smaller crews often get overlooked or exploited in big-money influencer deals.
