CHICAGO MAN KILLED AFTER LARGE OBJECT FELL FROM A SEMI-TRUCK ON EXPRESSWAY

A 42-year-old motorist named Jackine Austin lost his life when a large metal object struck the windshield of his vehicle early this morning, Monday, on the Dan Ryan Expressway.

A substantial piece of metal penetrated the windshield of a GMC Yukon heading southbound on I-94 near 29th Street, hitting the driver, who then collided with a concrete barrier.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where he ultimately passed away.

The ISP has indicated that the metal object is thought to have detached from a semi-truck carrying an intermodal container.
