As he tried to explain that he was born in the U.S., one of the agents tackled him to the ground while others restrained him. The moment was captured on cellphone video showing Warren pleading for help as bystanders yelled for the agents to stop.

Eventually, Warren was released later that day after being wrongfully detained. He says he’s left dealing with both physical and emotional scars from the encounter.

Community leaders and civil rights activists are demanding answers, calling the encounter a case of racial profiling and excessive force. Many are questioning why ICE agents were operating in the area and how a U.S. citizen could be mistaken for someone without documentation.

ICE has not yet released an official statement, and Chicago police say they are reviewing the situation. Meanwhile, the video of Warren King’s arrest continues to circulate widely online, fueling debates about immigration enforcement and racial bias in American policing.
