INDIANAPOLIS MAN SHOT AND KILLED AFTER HONKING DURING ROAD RAGE INCIDENT

A heartbreaking road rage incident in Indianapolis has claimed the life of 21-year-old Kentrell “Trell” Settles — a young man remembered by loved ones as full of promise and light.

According to Fox 59, the confrontation began on October 17, 2025, when Trell honked at another driver while stopped at a red light. What should have been a minor exchange quickly turned deadly. The other driver, a 23-year-old Deborah Benefiel, allegedly followed Trell’s vehicle, shouting and gesturing before firing a single shot. The bullet struck Trell in the chest and shattered his back window.
