MELLO BUCKZZ PULLS UP TO A CHICAGO HIGH SCHOOL — BUT SOME PARENTS SAY THE VIRAL MOMENT WENT TOO FAR

Chicago rapper Mello Buckzz stopped by Hyde Park Academy to show love to the students, but the internet conversation quickly shifted after clips from the visit went viral. In the video, a group of girls are seen twerking, bouncing on the floor, and doing splits while other girls cheer them on — and some adults online weren’t feeling the optics.

While a lot of students called it harmless fun, many parents voiced concerns about the environment being created at a school setting. Some argued the moment was just teens having a good time with an artist they love. Others felt the behavior crossed a line, saying schools should be maintaining a certain standard during events — especially one involving a public figure.

The situation has social media split right down the middle:

Was this simply high-energy fun, or was it doing too much for high schoolers?
