CHICAGO BEARS CONSIDER NW INDIANA AS STADIUM PLANS FACE DELAYS

The Chicago Bears say their plans for a new stadium are still moving forward — but not exclusively in Arlington Heights.

In a letter to fans dated December 17, 2025, Bears President and CEO Kevin Warren said the team has struggled to gain legislative support for its proposed Arlington Park development, despite investing more than $2 billion into the site and committing billions more toward a privately funded stadium.

While Arlington Heights remains the Bears’ preferred location, Warren said the project will not be a state priority in 2026. As a result, the team is expanding its search across the wider Chicagoland area, including Northwest Indiana.

The Bears emphasized that the move is not about leverage but about finding a world-class stadium that matches the franchise’s future. The team also reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to Chicago and thanked fans for their continued support.

For now, the search continues.
