SHOOTING ON CHICAGO’S PINK LINE LEAVES ONE DEAD AND ONE INJURED

Chicago police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning on a CTA Pink Line train in the Loop.

Authorities said a suspect armed with a knife became involved in an altercation with two male passengers. During the confrontation, the suspect took a gun from one of the men and fired it, striking both victims.

According to Fox News, a 44-year-old man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A 23-year-old man was also taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

The suspect fled the scene and remained at large as of the latest update. The incident caused temporary service disruptions on multiple CTA rail lines. Police continue to investigate.
