HIGH SCHOOL PROTESTER STRUCK BY SUV DURING ANTI-ICE RALLY IN NEBRASKA

A high school student in Fremont, Nebraska was struck by an SUV Thursday afternoon during a student-led protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The vehicle was reportedly displaying a Trump 2024 flag at the time.

Video captured by bystanders shows the student stepping into the street as the SUV approached. The car struck the protester, causing them to fall to the ground. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and the student was transported to a local hospital. Authorities have not publicly released details on the severity of the injuries.

According to Fremont High School, Fremont police later located the driver, identified as a juvenile. The incident is under review by the county attorney to determine if any charges are warranted. Witnesses describe the moment as chaotic, with the vehicle stopping briefly before leaving the scene.

School officials noted the demonstration was student-organized and not officially sponsored, though staff were present to help supervise. The rally is part of a wave of protests nationwide regarding immigration enforcement policies.
