A student at Lake Zurich High School in the suburbs of Chicago says he was assaulted after holding a sign that read “I Love ICE” during an alleged anti-ICE protest at the school.
According to the student, he was the only person displaying a sign in support of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) while other students were participating in an anti-ICE demonstration. He claims another student confronted him and that the situation escalated, resulting in him being physically assaulted.
It is unclear at this time whether school officials or local authorities have confirmed the details of the altercation or if any disciplinary action has been taken.
