KENTUCKY WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER DRIVING CAR THROUGH CROWD

A 20-year-old woman identified as Kaydence Carpenter has been arrested in connection with an incident in Kentucky where a vehicle was driven into a group of people, according to WKYT.

According to authorities, the group had gathered around Carpenter’s car before she allegedly accelerated forward, striking multiple individuals. The 20-year-old is accused of driving through the group of people while intoxicated which led to her injuring 4 people.

Carpenter was charged with four counts of second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, DUI, reckless driving, and licensee allowing a person under the age of 21 on premises where alcohol is sold.

The incident continues to raise questions about how quickly situations can escalate when tensions rise between drivers and groups in public spaces.
