A frightening incident in Memphis has left a community shaken after a 7-year-old boy was reportedly robbed at gunpoint while walking home with friends.

According to WREG, 7-year-old Kamari Harden was walking home from Riverview Community Center with his friends when the incident occurred. Authorities say a suspect approached the group, displayed a firearm, and demanded money. The suspect allegedly took $10 from the young boy before fleeing the area.

Thankfully, Kamari was not physically injured during the robbery, but the terrifying encounter has sparked concern among parents and residents in the neighborhood. Many are expressing frustration and fear over children being targeted and are calling for stronger safety measures to protect young people walking in the community.

Local law enforcement in Memphis is continuing to investigate the case and is searching for the suspect responsible. Officials are urging anyone with information about the robbery to contact authorities as they work to identify and locate the individual involved.
