Thousands of people filled Union Park for Forever Mine Fest, a nostalgic Y2K-themed weekend that brought together music lovers from all over Chicago for two days of unforgettable performances, good vibes, and positive energy.

During the build-up to this festival, Forever Mine Fest made sure to keep us updated and on our toes with everything from what to wear to what to expect, and, nonetheless, they delivered on their promise: to make sure we have fun.

One of the biggest takeaways from the event was the peaceful atmosphere, with many people online praising the festival for having no major fights or incidents despite the massive crowd of more than 8,000 people.

The star-studded lineup featured performances from Kelly Rowland, Monica, Chingy, Nina Sky, Baby Bash, Mýa and more, while Keyshia Cole headlined Saturday night and Kaytranada closed out Sunday with an electric set.

Power 92 Chicago was the only radio station broadcasting live both days, with Pharris hosting alongside Money Maha and Will The Thrill, who broadcast live and helped keep the crowd entertained throughout the festival.

Festivalgoers also enjoyed a dedicated house music stage featuring DJ Slugo and more, along with a silent party stage sponsored by Red Bull. The VIP section was really dope, providing an elevated experience with exclusive vendors, Hennessy stands, food, drinks, and nonstop energy. Being in VIP, you truly felt treated as such.

Tone Kapone and Hennessy kept their section lit with music from a few Chicago DJ’s and more while introducing new mixed drinks, activations, and experiences for attendees. Meanwhile, 93 Boyz were on-site making sure everyone had a good time with goodies and giveaways throughout the weekend.

High-energy sets from Sean Mac, DJ Cashera, DJ Mdok and other DJ’s kept the crowd moving, helping make Forever Mine Fest feel like a full Y2K time capsule.

From the throwback fashion and classical music to the positive atmosphere and peaceful weekend, Forever Mine Fest delivered a nostalgic experience that many attendees hope returns to Chicago year after year. And by this being their first year doing this, everything was amazing.
