A Frontier Airlines flight traveling from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Chicago was forced to divert to Miami after a passenger allegedly attempted to open an emergency exit door and jump from the aircraft while it was in the air.
According to CBS Chicago, flight attendants tried to stop him from opening the door and told him to sit down, but he ignored them and went to the front of the plane, where police said he tried to enter the pilot’s cabin. Fellow passengers quickly intervened and restrained the man before the situation could escalate. Witnesses said several people worked together to hold the individual down until the plane could safely land.
