Chicago’s music scene will be front and center at Soldier Field this week.
On Thursday, July 16, at 5:30 p.m., Chicago-based band Attack The Sound will perform a special pre-match set ahead of the Chicago Fire FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps match.
The group will bring its signature “Chi-Pop” sound to fans gathering inside Soldier Field before kickoff. The performance will take place in the stadium’s foyer, giving soccer fans and music lovers an opportunity to experience one of Chicago’s most unique live acts before the action moves onto the field.
A Sound Rooted in Chicago
Formed in Chicago, Attack The Sound, also known as ATS, has created its own lane with a self-defined genre called “Chi-Pop.”
The band’s sound blends indie soul, alternative pop, gospel influences, jazz musicianship, blues grit and live-band energy, all rooted in Chicago culture and storytelling.
Known for electrifying live performances and emotionally driven songwriting, Attack The Sound has performed internationally at North by Northeast, also known as NXNE. The group has also appeared on Windy City Live and WGN’s People to People.
