A disturbing case from downstate Illinois is making headlines after police arrested a 15-year-old who allegedly stabbed a 65-year-old man to death while dressed in a clown costume, according to KSDK News.

According to Illinois State Police, officers responded to a report of a body in the roadway Monday night in East St. Louis. The victim was identified as John Wesley Allen Sr., 65, who died from multiple stab wounds.
What has many people talking is the surveillance video that surfaced before the tragic incident and leading to the arrest. Ring camera footage reportedly shows the teen, dressed in a black-and-red clown costume, walking up to a home, staring into the camera, and saying, “I’ve been looking for you,” before leaving the area. Authorities say the video was captured less than an hour before Allen’s body was discovered nearby.
Neighbors say the footage became even more unsettling after learning someone had been killed just blocks away. One resident told local media a family member was home alone when the costumed teen approached the house, turning what seemed like a bizarre encounter into something much more frightening.
Illinois State Police say the juvenile suspect was later taken into custody at a nearby residence without incident. Because the suspect is under the age of 18, authorities have not released his identity.
