Many of us have been eager to hear what Sonta has been cooking up and I am proud to say the long wait is over. If you don’t know Sonta is a rising R&B singer from Chicago who is signed to Machine Gun Entertainment. Throughout the year Sonta has dropped a few singles but now she blessed us with more.
Thursday night, the love was real at the Sonta album release party. She dropped her new project “CHOCOLIT”, and if you haven’t heard it yet, it’s fire. Let me tell you, She took her time with this one. On the project she has songs about Love, Sex and even has a girls Anthem. The whole album is definitely giving that old R&B that we all miss, love and need. The project also has some dope features, featuring some hot Chicagoans such as Tink , Ann Marie and Queen Key.
The venue had a very intimate vibe and was packed to the door with love & support from her family and friends. Shout out to Theresa Ashford for sending the lovely invite and details about the event.
This was the first listening party that I had attended that had a theme. Her theme was The Chocolate Factory, get it, Choco(lit) Factory. So of course many were dressed in their melanin attire. And baby the melanin was out! There was an open bar with special drinks named after some of the songs on her album. And let me not forget my girl had a whole chocolate fountain. I loved it! The decor was on point and it all tied into her album.
