Terrance K. Mitchell, who was a beloved Chicago man, died in a traffic accident early Monday on the Eisenhower Expressway on the West Side.
State troopers were called to a crash on the eastbound lanes of I-290 on the ramp to Cicero Avenue around 2:20 a.m. They found that 29-year-old Terrance K. Mitchell had been thrown from a vehicle, according to Illinois State police.
Indications from both Illinois state police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Mitchell, 29, was deceased at the scene.
According to officials, following Mitchell’s ejection, his vehicle collided with a parked, unoccupied vehicle.
The cause of the crash that led to Mitchell’s death in the Austin neighborhood remains unclear.
