ZOE SPENCER & SKIN BONE LEFT OUT OF KAI CENAT’S STREAMER UNIVERSITY—AND FANS HAVE THOUGHTS

So here’s the tea: In May 2025, Twitch star Kai Cenat dropped the lineup for his big new project, Streamer University—a content creator bootcamp of sorts to help up-and-coming streamers blow up. Sounds dope, right? But when the roster came out, people immediately noticed two big names were missing: TikTok fave Zoe Spencer and Chicago’s own funny man Skin Bone.

ZOE SPENCER SPEAKS OUT

Zoe Spencer is one of those creators you just expect to be everywhere. She’s funny, charismatic, and has worked with folks like Zeddy Will and other fan-faves. So when she didn’t make the cut, fans were confused—and Zoe was hurt.

She hopped on live and got emotional, saying it felt like being left out of a party everyone else got invited to. She even pointed out how most of her crew got picked, which made it sting even more. You can check out her reaction here.

KAI RESPONDS

Kai didn’t dodge the topic either. He jumped on his stream to clear the air and said Zoe is definitely talented—but a few things rubbed him the wrong way. He brought up an incident backstage at a Druski show where he says Zoe embarrassed him a bit, and also mentioned a time she told her followers not to expect any more collabs with him because of his new relationship. To Kai, that sounded like she was backing away from their friendship.

He said Streamer University was about more than clout—it was also about vibes, chemistry, and who he could see building something positive with. But he admitted the backlash kinda killed his vibe and made him second-guess the whole project.

SKIN BONE KEEPS IT CLASSY

Meanwhile, Chicago entertainer and viral sketch creator Skin Bone also chimed in after not being picked—and he handled it with nothing but class. In a Facebook post, Skin Bone wrote:

“lol I’m not mad I didn’t get picked for the streamer university. I don’t need it. I built all my pages and my clout on my own. They had student roles and professor roles—I just thought they would pick somebody that’s been in the game more than 10+ years… Again, I am not upset and will be gifting everybody when the university starts. Congratulations to everybody.”

Even though he didn’t get the invite, Skin Bone made it clear he’s still rooting for everyone involved—and reminded folks that he’s already built his own lane.

SOCIAL MEDIA WEIGHS IN

As expected, social media blew up with reactions. Some fans stood by Kai’s decisions, saying it’s his project, his rules. Others thought Zoe and Skin Bone deserved better, especially given the work they’ve put into their platforms.

It’s just another example of how tricky the line is between friendships and business when it comes to content creation.

WHAT’S NEXT?

At the end of the day, missing out on Streamer University might just be a setup for a bigger comeback. Both Zoe and Skin Bone have loyal fanbases and plenty of momentum. If anything, this might be the spark that inspires them to build their own “university”—and fans would definitely enroll.
