CHICAGO MAN DRIVES HIMSELF TO HOSPITAL ON SCOOTER AFTER BEING STABBED IN RIVER NORTH

In a shocking scene early Wednesday morning, a 32-year-old man managed to drive himself to the hospital on a scooter after being stabbed in Chicago’s bustling River North neighborhood.

According to ABC News, the incident happened around 3:05 a.m. near the intersection of State and Illinois Streets, when the victim got into an argument with another man. The confrontation quickly escalated, ending with the attacker pulling out a sharp object and stabbing the victim several times.

Despite his injuries, the man somehow found the strength to hop on a scooter and drive himself nearly a mile to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. When he arrived, the scooter he used was soon placed behind crime tape outside the emergency entrance—an unusual detail that captured the attention of onlookers and media alike.

Doctors listed the victim in critical condition, and he remains hospitalized as detectives from Chicago Police Department Area Three continue their investigation. At this time, no suspect is in custody.

The incident underscores both the unpredictability of late-night violence in downtown Chicago and the remarkable determination of the victim, who fought to save his own life by getting to the hospital against the odds.
