According to CBS Chicago, city officials have confirmed that the iconic food festival will return to Grant Park this summer, marking a major shift after several years of changes to its location and timing. The event is scheduled to take place July 8–12, bringing the long-running festival back to its traditional mid-summer slot.

In recent years, Taste of Chicago was pushed to September and spread across different neighborhoods, largely due to scheduling conflicts with other large-scale downtown events. With those conflicts no longer in place, the city says Grant Park is once again available to host the massive celebration.

The move back to Grant Park is expected to restore the classic Taste of Chicago experience, featuring dozens of local food vendors, live music performances, family-friendly activities, and lakefront views that have long been associated with the festival.

Taste of Chicago remains free to attend and is one of the city’s most anticipated summer events, drawing both locals and tourists eager to sample Chicago’s diverse food scene in one place.

More details, including vendor lists and music lineups, are expected to be announced closer to the event.
