Chicago PEACE announces first ever Back2School Chicago PEACE Week!

Chicago PEACE announces first ever Back2School Chicago PEACE Week, August 23rd – 28th, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Target, Harting Americas, Leo Burnett, and Amazon. Chicago PEACE Week will operate from strategically placed care-hubs throughout underserved neighborhoods on Chicago’s south and west sides. PEACE Week is a philanthropic initiative supporting families, and Chicago’s school-aged youth. Chicago PEACE Week will offer guidance, encouragement and hope for the greater Chicago community, while also providing families with the tools, support, supplies and practical resources needed to prepare students for a successful school year. Care-hub locations include Nicholson-Stem in Englewood, Gunsaulus Scholastic Academy in Brighton Park and Sumner Elementary in North Lawndale. Hub activations include supply drives, immunizations, community beautification, art activations and more.

Chicago PEACE Week begins on Monday, August 23rd, and ends on Saturday, August 28th, with the first annual PEACE Walk and Family Festival at The Dusable Museum of African American Art, featuring performances from prominent Chicago artists and family-fun activities to round out the week.
