Reality Mcdowell of the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, is in trouble with the law for allegedly sneaking a PCP filled paper inside a 9 month old baby’s diaper into the Cook County Jail. The Cook County sheriff’s office has charged her with bringing a controlled substance into a penal institution and possession of a controlled substance.
On January 8th, Mcdowell was visiting an inmate at Cook County Jail when Sheriff’s who were monitoring live security camera footage, allegedly caught McDowell handing the baby over to the inmate and the inmate removed a hidden piece of paper inside the baby’s diaper.
The paper was later tested and confirmed to be PCP, which is a hallucinogenic drug. The authorities eventually caught up to the offender and she was taken into custody at her home on Thursday. She appeared in court on Friday and was released out of custody pending trial. The Department of Family and Child Services was notified and is currently investigating. Mcdowell’s case is only one out of 36 cases related to drug charges at the facilty.
