A video has been circulating of a CTA bus going out of control, driving on the sidewalk Northbound on Halsted by at 35th in Bridgeport, crashing into multiple vehicles and into the front entrance of the Ramova Theatre, injuring several people.
According to bystanders, the bus crashed into the exterior wall near the entrance of the theater’s brewery and taproom. It also took down a parking sign, light poles and struck several parked cars as it continued past West 35th Street.

According to WGNTV, 4 people were taken to area hospitals, 3 were listed in critical condition. The 4th was expected to be okay.
The CTA did not immediately provide any additional information about what caused the crash or the driver’s condition.
