STEPHEN A. SMITH RESPONDS TO BACKLASH FOR COMMENTS ON OSCARS SLAP

Last week, Stephen A. Smith showed us that he’s still hanging on to the Oscars slap. Before Bad Boys: Ride or Die hit the theaters, Smith took to his Podcast how he felt by asking “Are we embracing Will Smith again?” He also expressed that he’s not that interested in seeing the new movie because of the slap.

Smith believes that in order to move forward, he thinks Will Smith should sit down and give an explanation to the Black community about why he slapped Chris Rock.

Due to multiple calls and messages from people who disagreed with his take, Smith goes to clarify what he really meant by what he said. He made his remarks in light of Black people with Hollywood aspirations and claims he fears white people stereotyping Black actors because of the Oscars slap.
