JEAN DEAUX BRINGS HER ‘NOWHERE FAST’ TOUR TO CHICAGO’S LINCOLN HALL

West Side’s very own Jean Deaux returned home on Tuesday, June 25, for her show at the Schubas Tavern, Lincoln Hall. Deaux is on tour to showcase her new album, “Nowhere, Fast.” Not only did she perform, but she also brought out some of the most popular underground artists from Chicago to bless the stage.

Shawnee Dez opened the show with an alternative soul set. There were so many immaculate vibes that her and her band gave the audience from start to finish. She closed out her set with one of her most popular song, “Wait” which had the crowd screaming and dancing with joyous energy.

When Jean Deaux entered the stage, the audience burst out with love and applause to see her back at home. She did a mixture of songs from her new album such as “Believe It,” and “TWUG (That’s What U Get),” some of her old gems such as “Photosynthesis” and “Yeah Yeah.”

The party was not over as she surprised the crowd with Queen Key. Key performed her hits “Baked As A Pie” and “My Way.” Everyone was lit in the audience as they shouted her lyrics with nostalgia.

Jean Deaux then came back to finish her set. She encouraged everyone at Lincoln Hall to always believe in their dreams and never to let life break them. Having Jean Deaux back home to celebrate her on tour was excellent. ✨
