MOTHER AND CHILDREN HIT AS VEHICLE SLAMS INTO NEW JERSEY PRESCHOOL

A suspected drunk driver crashed into the front of a preschool in Freehold Township, striking a mother and her children in a terrifying incident that has alarmed the local community. Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported the victims to a nearby hospital; their exact conditions have not been publicly detailed.

Freehold police arrested the driver, 68-year-old Angela Arrigo of Manalapan, after determining she was intoxicated. According to Fox 29 News, Arrigo has been charged with driving while intoxicated, assault by auto, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene as the car jumped the curb, hit the victims, and crashed into the preschool’s front entrance. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported inside the school. Parents and staff expressed shock that a place meant to be safe for young children could become the site of such a dangerous accident, with many calling for stronger traffic safety measures and enforcement near schools.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident, while the focus remains on the recovery of the injured family and raising awareness about the serious consequences of driving under the influence.
